J-Town Idol Judges Announced!

  • Alice Aoki-Sanchez is on the board for Berryessa's Art and Wine festival and has a degree in journalism. She has worked at several radio stations and has always been passionate about music. She would be representing KLIV radio, one of the few independently own radio right here in San Jose. KLIV has promoted the festival in the past.
  • Sam Liccardo is known for being the District III, City Councilmember, City of San Jose. He appeared in an indy production of 'Conan for Mayor of Japantown' by Roy's Station and is pleased to be a judge for the first J-town Idol contest!
  • Jona Denz-Hamilton has been on San Jose radio since the 1970s, on such radio stations as KOME, KLOK, KFJC, and KEEN. She also served as Program Director of stations in Monterey and Sacramento. You’ve been hearing Jona as a regular weekday personality on 94.5 KBAY for nearly 15 years! She also mentors up-and-coming broadcasters. Jona and her husband, Alan have 2 great sons, who have taught them the art of critiquing!
