The Japantown Community Congress of San Jose, comprised of representatives from many organizations and enterprises in Japantown, is presenting the Annual Spirit of Japantown Festival on Saturday, October 2, 2010 from 10am-5pm.
The goal of the festival is to raise funds to preserve the past and protect the future of Japantown San Jose, one of the last three historical Japantowns in the United States.
This year is the 120th Birthday of Japantown San Jose and we hope you will join us in celebrating!
The festival features free entertainment, dancing, music, a Hawaiian performing area, a bonsai exhibition, martial arts demonstrations, crafts and arts vendors, a car exhibition, food and a Kids Zone food throughout 8 city blocks surrounding San Jose's historic Japantown. Last year's crowd numbered over 17,000 visitors and attendance is expected to increase this year.
We offer you the opportunity to join us as a sponsor with exposure throughout the city - including ads on VTA buses, ligh trail cars and platforms, television and print media, programs and booths. Please review the information and join us in support of the Annual Spirit of Japantown Festival.
